Babies

Standard

Are here! About freaking time hey?
Will write the whole birth story later but it was all natural. Baby A weighed 3224g. and Baby B 2602g. Baby A popped out head first at 10:21 a.m. and Baby B bum first at 10:28 a.m. When I went into the labor room around 8:30 I knew they would be arriving before noon, but really had no idea it would be just 2 hours later. All in all my easiest labor in terms of labor pains, but by far the most difficult of the 3 pregnancies. I am so fucking proud of myself though. Seriously, my body is freaking amazing! Right now I feel like death though so will hopefully be able to nap after I come off my birthing high.

About Brenda in Nagano

Originally from Chicago, I knew I was destined to spend the rest of my life in Japan the moment I set foot in the country at the tender age of 16. However, I was quite intent on spending that rest of my life in a major city with a full on career, until my Japanese Prince Charming came trotting down from the mountains of Nagano to sweep me off my feet and whisk me away, turning my whole life plan on its head. Two months after moving to Nagano I gave birth to our little Princess Charming, so now I am officially a SAHM and teach a little belly dance on the side.

  1. Wow, they are fantastic birth weights!!

Congratulations Brenda! You should definitely be proud of yourself!

I hope you get your nap in as I can’t imagine how much sleep you will be missing out on from this point onwards!!

  2. Fantastic weights! Even for none twins!!! Brilliant. I can’t wait to read your birth story. So glad everything went well! Hope you can get a little rest.

  3. you. are. amazing Brenda!! And your boys are so fricken adorable and such amazing weights!! I bet your hospital puts that pic in their next ad campaign. I have looked at this picture about a hundred times today and I still just love it. Jeeze, it might even make it into our family album. Marina would like to know why Baby A came before baby B? I said he was closest to the doors so it just made more sense – kind of like how I make Ryu get out of the car first because his car seat is closest. Rest up. Home the next couple of days aren’t to sore and weepy and that the whole boob things really takes off.

  4. Birth is such a miracle. So glad that things went smoothly and you have your two lilttle (or not so little) ones in your arms. Congratulations to you and your husband, and the girls of course. Nancy in Tokyo

  6. I thought you were freaking amazing before having a twin natural birth but now I think you are fabulously startlingly amazing! πŸ™‚

You look so happy in that picture and bizarrely *less* tired than in your last few pregnant pictures.

To a wonderful future for all six of you. πŸ™‚

  7. you see!! I’m bloody back – to have another look before I pop off to bed. God, they are so just too adorable for words and just the smell, and holding a baby. I know its unconditional love forever but there is nothing like those first months. those years before they start getting lippy and forgetting to say please and thankyou. Give them a big inhale (neck) from me. xxxxxxxxxxxx
